Currently, it only supports those who fall under the eligibility criteria and cannot manage their education expenses. 1. An applicant must be a citizen of South Africa.
2. An applicant is classified as Black African or Colored.
3. An applicant must be in 12th Grade or graduated from high school with a Matric within the last two years, or a university student with a CA-Stream B.Com degree.
4. An applicant must attain 60% or 5 points above on the NSC scale in the Mathematics exam during 11th grade.
5. An applicant has applied or is in the process of applying for a B.Com Accounting (CA-Stream) degree at a university-accredited SAICA, which is offering the Thuthuka Bursary.
6. An applicant’s family income must be below R350,000 or less.
7. An applicant is required to write the National Benchmark Test.

1. The applicant needs a certified copy of his ID document.
2. Applicant needs a certified copy of his Parents / Guardians’ ID.
3. Applicant needs salary advice or an affidavit document stating that his Parents / Guardians are unemployed.
4. Applicant needs a certified copy of 11 and 12th-grade result cards.
5. A copy of the university acceptance letter.
6. Applicant needs to submit a full academic transcript if already at university.
7. Proof of registration, if already at the University.
8. The applicant needs to submit his parents’ latest salary advice.
9. Applicant needs a certified copy of ID and birth certificates of other school-going dependents in his home.
10. Applicant must provide a stamped letter from the school confirming registration and subjects.
