The Imfundo Trust was launched by the Old Mutual Investment Group in 2011 as a scholarship initiative focused on empowering future leaders in the investment industry. The word “Imfundo” originates from the Nguni languages and means “the acquisition of knowledge” or “the process of becoming educated.” This name reflects the Trust’s mission to provide deserving students with the opportunity to pursue higher education and reach their full academic potential.
