What is the UFS Matriculant of the Year Competition?

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must:

• Be in Grade 12 in 2025.
• Plan to study full-time at UFS in 2026.
• Demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, culture, or sports.
• Attend a Quintile 1–5 school, private school, or be home-schooled.
• Agree to the terms and conditions listed on the official application form.

 Tip: You don’t have to be a straight-A student. Even if you shine in leadership or sports, this competition could still be for you.

How the Selection Process Works

The judging panel follows a structured process:

1. 25 semi-finalists are selected based on application form scoring.
   
2. 14 finalists are chosen and interviewed by a panel in October 2025.
   
3. One winner, the Matriculant of the Year, will be crowned at a prestigious gala dinner, based on personal achievements and personality.

• Signed application form, stamped, and verified by your school principal
