Fields of Study Covered

The AMSOL Bursary is available for the following qualifications:

Bachelor of Marine Engineering
Bachelor of Nautical Science
Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (Deck Officer)

Who Can Apply

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be South African citizens
Have completed Matric or be currently in Matric
Achieve a minimum of 60% (Level 5) in English, Mathematics, and Physical Science
Intend to study one of the listed qualifications in 2026
Be enrolled at a recognised and accredited university or SAMSA-accredited training facility
Not be in receipt of any other bursary funding for the 2026 academic year

What the Bursary Covers
