African Marine Solutions (AMSOL) is a leading provider of specialist marine services in Southern Africa. The AMSOL Bursary Programme aims to support South African students pursuing studies in maritime-related fields, contributing to the development of skilled professionals in the maritime industry.
Fields of Study Covered
The AMSOL Bursary is available for the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Marine Engineering
- Bachelor of Nautical Science
- Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (Deck Officer)
Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be South African citizens
- Have completed Matric or be currently in Matric
- Achieve a minimum of 60% (Level 5) in English, Mathematics, and Physical Science
- Intend to study one of the listed qualifications in 2026
- Be enrolled at a recognised and accredited university or SAMSA-accredited training facility
- Not be in receipt of any other bursary funding for the 2026 academic year
What the Bursary Covers
The bursary provides coverage for:
- Tuition fees
- Textbooks
- Accommodation in residence (subject to availability and personal circumstances)
Note: Students are required to pay their own registration fees.
