About the Bursary
Harmony Gold is a gold exploration and mining company, which also has a bursary program for undergraduate and graduate students. Eligibility Criteria
You must satisfy the following conditions to apply for the Harmony Gold bursary program.
- You must be a South African national.
- You must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- You must have completed Matric or are currently in Matric.
- You must have at least an average of 60% in Matric for all subjects.
- You must be studying in or intend to study toward a full-time qualification in one of the fields listed by Harmony Gold.
- You must be in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of your study.
- You must be enrolled at a recognized and accredited university in South Africa.
- Engineering students must have a minimum result of 70% in Mathematics Literacy and physical science in Matric.
- Core mining discipline students must have a minimum result of 70% in Mathematics and Science in Matric.
- Current tertiary students must have a minimum result of 60% for all major subjects.
- You must not be receiving any other funding or sponsorship.
- Please note that preference will be given to students from core mining fields, Harmony host communities, Harmony sending areas, and dependents of Harmony employees, along with disabled students.

- Acceptance letter from the tertiary institution. It should be on the institution’s letterhead.
