Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
• Be South African citizens
• Have completed Matric or be currently in Matric
• Be studying or intend on studying full-time in a qualification lasting twelve months or longer within the stated eligible fields in the 2026 academic year
• Be enrolled or have applied to a tertiary institution registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training
• Achieve a minimum overall average of 65% for Matric mid-year or final results, with at least 65% per subject for those currently in Matric
• If already at the tertiary level, maintain a minimum overall average of 60% and sustain at least 60% to remain eligible for renewal
• Not receive any other bursary, internship, or emolument that binds them to work elsewhere after graduation
• Agree to the terms and conditions of the bursary
What the Bursary Covers
This bursary may cover full or partial pre-approved study-related expenses, including:
• Registration fees and tuition fees
• Prescribed textbooks and study materials
• Accommodation and living assistance (if approved)
The bursary is awarded per academic year, and recipients may reapply for funding in the following years.
Selection and Engagement
• All applications are evaluated based on academic and motivational merit
• Shortlisted candidates will complete assessments and attend interviews
• During university holidays, recipients must complete vacation work with the company for at least half of the period
• A transport stipend is provided during vacation work
• Graduates may be offered a place in the company’s graduate programme for a period equal to the bursary funding duration
