  • Engineering: Electrical, Civil, Power/Renewable Energy, Mechatronics Engineering
  • Environmental Sciences: Environmental Science, Hydrology, Water Resource Management
  • Health & Clinical Sciences: Medicine, Optometry, Audiology, Nursing, Nutrition, Dietetics, Occupational & Speech Therapy, Emergency Medical Care, Medical Lab Science, Pharmacy, Radiography
  • Law: Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Company Secretary
  • Social Sciences & Humanities: Social Work, Psychology, Development Studies, Language, Media & Communication, and Education (English, Mathematics, Science, Early Childhood Development)
    Preference will be given to Engineering students.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be Black, as defined by the DTI codes of good practice
  • Permanently reside within a 50 km radius of the Tsitsikamma Community Wind Farm, in one of the following communities:
    • Kouga: Centerton, Jeffrey’s Bay (township), Humansdorp, Noorshoek, Oyster Bay, Pellrus, Rosedale, St Francis Bay (township), Westerton
    • Koukamma: Clarkson, Kagiso Heights, Kareedouw (township), Katank, New Rest, Nompumelelo, Sanddrif, Thornham, Uitkyk, Woodlands
    • AmaMfengu: Wittekleibosch, Snyklip, Ekuphumleni, Nuweplaas, Doriskraal
  • Be studying or intending to study toward a qualification in one of the fields listed above
  • Be accepted or provisionally accepted at a public university or TVET college in South Africa
  • Have a household income of R350,000 or less per annum
  • Current recipients must have passed at least 75% of their 2025 modules to qualify for renewal
