- If the applicant intends to specialize in teaching technology subjects like CAT, IT, and Technical streaming subjects, they must have a minimum level 4 for Mathematics or a minimum level 4 in Technical Mathematics in their matric record.
For New Students at the University
- The applicant must have passed in all subjects in their tertiary study records for the previous year.
- The applicant must have achieved an average of 55% in all subjects in the previous year.
- The applicant must have a minimum overall average of 66.6% in subjects, specifically related to the teaching and area of specialization in the previous year.
For New Students Enrolling for PGCE
- The applicants must have a qualification that is required to secure admission into a PGCE program.
- They must be studying (grade 7 to 12) specifically to train under the PGCE for Senior Phase and Further Education and Teaching Training (SPFET)
- The applicant must have at least two priority subjects. The subjects should have one module completed in the third year and the other completed in the second year.
