The PPS Foundation, established in 2016, is a non-profit organisation created by PPS (Professional Provident Society), South Africa’s only mutual financial services company serving graduate professionals. The Foundation aims to increase access to tertiary education in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields and nurture talented youth. Since its inception, the PPS Foundation has supported over 105 students in achieving their academic and professional goals, fostering skills essential to South Africa’s economic development.
Fields of Study Covered
The PPS Foundation Bursary Programme 2026 provides funding for full-time degree studies in the following areas:

Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Be studying or enrolled to study full-time at a public university or university of technology in South Africa
- Have achieved a minimum overall average of 65%
- Demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to studies
- Have a total household income of not more than R1 million per annum
- Preference will be given to students pursuing degrees in STEM disciplines

- Death certificate (if deceased)

- Preliminary academic results must be submitted by 20 December 2025
- Final academic transcripts (for shortlisted students) must be submitted by 16 January 2026
