- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Studying or intending to study full-time toward a qualification in 2026
- Enrolled or intending to enrol at an accredited South African tertiary institution
- Demonstrate a strong academic record
- Students from previously disadvantaged groups and those with disabilities are encouraged to apply
What the Bursary Covers
The bursary provides financial support for one year of study, including:
- Registration fees
- Tuition fees
- Academic-related costs
Successful candidates will be contacted within 30 working days of the closing date. Applicants who do not receive feedback should consider their application unsuccessful. Canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.

- Download and complete the Oudtshoorn Municipality Bursary Application Form 2026 (PDF), or collect from municipal offices, libraries, the Thusong Service Centre, or the Youth Office (Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00).
- Submit the completed application along with certified copies of the following:
