Founded in 1965 as Van der Merwe and Kroon and rebranded to VGI Consulting Inc. in 2002, the company has over 45 years of pipeline engineering expertise, delivering high-pressure steel pipeline projects in South Africa and Mozambique for clients such as Transnet, Sasol, Sasol Gas, Sasol Technology, and Siemens.

Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be South African citizens
- Be 18–25 years old
- Have completed Matric
- Be studying full-time toward a BEng/BTech/BSc in one of the listed fields
- Have completed 1st year with a minimum overall average of 60%
- Be entering 2nd year or higher in 2026
- Be enrolled at a recognised South African University or University of Technology
- Not be receiving any other bursary funding
Expenses Covered, Renewal & Work
Covers registration, tuition, study materials, and exam fees. Not applicable to previous years’ debt or failed subjects. Awarded for one academic year at a time and renewable based on satisfactory academic performance. Vacation work during June/July and Dec/Jan holidays is required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview; if you do not receive feedback, consider your application unsuccessful.
