South African universities and educational institutes have raised the fees; therefore, the students are unable to pay their dues. Basically, the income of a student in South Africa is lower than the average income of a citizen, so we cannot expect students to manage both their educational career and daily life expenses. Students in such conditions withdraw from universities and join labor work.
However, there are golden opportunities to avail, such as ISSF Bursary, a financial aid program designed for unemployed students and employed students who have lower incomes. It helps them financially and trains them in skills such as learnerships and internships. The application process is super easy, so come with me to learn how you can apply for the ISSF Bursary program.
Changing trends in the world have given birth to new fields and opportunities. In the past, job positions in an insurance company were considered useless, but today, the trends have changed, and the insurance companies in South Africa are on the top. These insurance companies offer thousands of individuals every year the opportunity to join their companies and get a respectable position.
The purpose of the Insurance Sector Student Fund (ISSF) is to help employed and unemployed students get education in disciplines related to insurance. The bursary aims to support individuals throughout their degree. But the scheme’s rules vary for employed and unemployed students, as unemployed students will get more facilities compared to employed individuals.
About ISSF Bursary
Unemployed students cannot support their educational careers, while employed students earn low incomes. We cannot neglect the importance of employed and unemployed students’ needs. Therefore, the ISSF authorities designed the bursary in a way that will allow both employed and unemployed students to receive various amenities.
- Unemployed Students: Tuition fee, transportation fare, accommodation rents, meals, and technological devices, as well as monthly allowance.
- Employed Students: Tuition fee and a book allowance.
Eligibility Criteria
As government or private institutes launch bursaries, people rush to apply in order to be selected at first without considering the importance of eligibility criteria.
